Are you a Registered Nurse who values calm, person centred care over rushed, task driven shifts? Our 25 bed dementia rest home in Whanganui is looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to join our small, supportive team.

We have permanent full time and permanent part time roles available.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, high quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing clinical oversight and supporting caregivers on shift
  • Completing assessments, care planning, and documentation
  • Administering medications and monitoring residents’ health needs
  • Building strong relationships with residents and families
  • Working collaboratively with the Clinical Governance and wider team
  • Supporting a calm, reassuring environment for residents living with dementia

This is a role where your clinical skills and your heart both matter.

What We’re Looking For
  • A New Zealand registered nurse with a current APC
  • Experience in aged care or dementia care is an advantage. InterRai competent.
  • Strong clinical judgement and confidence working autonomously
  • A warm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and commitment to resident wellbeing

If you’re newer to aged care but have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we’re happy to support your development.

What We Offer
  • A supportive, friendly team in a small, home like environment
  • A stable 25 bed dementia facility with a strong focus on quality care
  • Permanent full time and part time options
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development
  • A workplace where your contribution is genuinely valued
  • Part of a small, caring group of rest homes
