The successful candidate must-- Be able to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
- Be physically fit, reliable and have a good work ethic
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and take pride in their work
- Be enthusiastic, motivated and prepared to muck in with other duties as and when required
- Must have a current drivers licence and a forklift licence
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- Carrying out Surface preparation using abrasive blasting techniques and water jetting
- Apply industrial protective coatings to a high standard
- Ensure all work performed meets specified quality requirements
- Ensuring that equipment is well maintained, available, operational and in safe working condition
- Conduct inspections and quality checks using in-house QA tools and systems
- Meet deadlines and advising management of any potential delays
- Follow Health and Safety protocols and ensure site compliance
- Proven experience in blasting and painting including surface prep and application of industrial coatings
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
- Competency using and following in-house QA procedures
- A good level of spoken English to communicate effectively with clients and the wider team
- Follow Health and Safety protocols and ensure site compliance
