The successful candidate must-
  • Be able to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Be physically fit, reliable and have a good work ethic
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and take pride in their work
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and prepared to muck in with other duties as and when required
  • Must have a current drivers licence and a forklift licence
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
Key Responsibilities -
  • Carrying out Surface preparation using abrasive blasting techniques and water jetting
  • Apply industrial protective coatings to a high standard
  • Ensure all work performed meets specified quality requirements
  • Ensuring that equipment is well maintained, available, operational and in safe working condition
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks using in-house QA tools and systems
  • Meet deadlines and advising management of any potential delays
  • Follow Health and Safety protocols and ensure site compliance
The technical stuff you'll need includes -
  • Proven experience in blasting and painting including surface prep and application of industrial coatings
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
  • Competency using and following in-house QA procedures
  • A good level of spoken English to communicate effectively with clients and the wider team
  • Follow Health and Safety protocols and ensure site compliance
