Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and equipment. Key Job Responsibilities:- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy transport equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct engine overhauls, brake system repairs, transmission servicing, and suspension work.
- Carry out pre-COF (Certificate of Fitness) inspections and necessary repairs.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
- Keep up to date with industry advancements and best practices.
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic and minimum 3 years experience.
- Proven experience in servicing and repairing heavy transport vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with modern electronic diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driver’s license (Class 2, 4, or 5 is an advantage).
- Pay rate based on experience and qualifications.
- Minimum guaranteed hours of work: 40 per week.
