About the Role
This is a rare entry level opportunity to join our Quality Bakers site in Wellington as our Quality Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator. This role will be based on-site and takes responsibility for maintaining and improving the Safety, Health and Environment Systems and the Food Safety Quality systems for the site.
To achieve this, your responsibilities will include:
- Annual Health Safety and Quality plans established for the site, identifying goals/targets and improvement opportunities
- Complete internal and external audits including root cause, corrective and preventative actions (insurance, STGFW checklists, ACC partnerships, environmental, food safety quality)
- Drive a culture of compliance to commitment for Health Safety Food Safety for the site by engaging with the team to enable this change
About You
To make this role a success, we are looking for an organised and driven individual who, ideally, has previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Skillsets, qualifications and experience we would like to see, include:
- Familiarity with a food manufacturing environment
- Organised self-driven individual with strong communication and training skills
- The ability to build strong lasting relationships with stakeholders across the site (and business) which in turns enables you to take people on the journey from compliance to commitment
- Excellent computer literacy and ability to quickly pick up different systems
- Relevant HSE or Food Safety certification, or working towards one would be useful but not essential
