The role leads the assessment, coordination and monitoring of research and clinical audit submissions, while also offering strategic advice on funding opportunities and research implementation. It also plays a key part in maintaining research governance structures and fostering strong relationships with local and national research partners.Click here to view the position description.About the Team/Service/LocationThe Research Coordinator works within the Te Tai Tokerau Research Office, a small, collaborative team that partners closely with clinical leaders, the Research and Audit Governance Group, and wider Te Whatu Ora colleagues.
The team is connected to national research networks and forums, providing strong support, guidance, and shared expertise. It operates in a valuesdriven environment focused on advancing highquality research, equity, and improved health outcomes for the people of Te Tai Tokerau.For more information on living and working in Northland click hereAbout youOur ideal candidate will have:A post-graduate degree in a health or social services topicA minimum of 5 years previous research coordination and/or demonstrated research experience in a healthcare settingDemonstrated understanding of and experience in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including co-designAn understanding of Te Reo me onā TikangaA working knowledge of national research funding opportunities and ethics approval processesKnowledge of Māori Health Research Guidelines Te Ara TikiWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
