Ko ta matou mahi: Our Role
We are looking for Full-time and Part-time Night Security guards for a Male housing complex (Wigram Lodge) in Christchurch.- Hours are 1900 – 0300.
- 14-day rotating roster will work every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the premises
- Controlling access to restricted areas.
- Provide a strong presence of security
- Enforce the rules of the complex
- Physical response to security incidents
- Report incidents and ensure all health and safety protocols are met and followed.
- Current Certificate of Approval (COA)
- Ability to work in New Zealand
- Physical presence with a medium/high standard of fitness
- Experience dealing with incidents and conflict.
- Must have excellent de-escalation skills and be able to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life
- Able to work independently and complete nightly reports
- High level of written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work in a medium risk site
- Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check
