Service Technician - Fire Alarm Systems

FFP Fire Protection have an immediate opening for a Service Technician working from our Dunedin branch. This is a front-line technical role and relates directly to the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Applicants should be physically fit, hold a full driver’s licence, and be prepared to work away from home on the odd occasion as per workload demands.

• New alarm installations
• Repairs, maintenance, and compliance of existing alarm systems
• Assisting in any ad-hoc project work driven by the other business units.

• An outgoing personality as you will be interacting with clients on a regular basis.
• Be willing to gain an NZQA qualification in a fire discipline.
• A strong work ethic as self-management is an important part of the role.
• Have great written and verbal communication skills.
• Be competent working on mobile electronic devices. (Phone, tablet, laptop)
• The ability to interpret general construction drawings and manufacturers manuals.
• A desire to learn new skills and work well within a small team.
