Aikmans Merivale, located in the heart of Merivale, has been serving the community for over 30 years. A fun, local, large venue with a premium offering of food and beverages. Ready for a busy 2025, we are searching for kitchen hands to join our team to support our chefs and develop yourselves further if thats what you're after!
We have four established venues within our company- Aikmans Hospitality Group- and we can provide the room to grow and develop within our company, we are looking for people who are wanting to expand their career and take themselves to a new level.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to;Clean all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and equipment
Preparation for the day ahead as directed by the chef in charge
Keep all work areas tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations
Control the use of chemicals in the kitchen
Assist in receiving and sorting supplies and deliveries
Follow systems and procedures in place for hygienic food handling practices
Organise the disposal of rubbish
Adhere to all legal requirements of the business
Maintain the kitchen equipment
Report any health and safety issues
Clear communication within the kitchen and with the floor staff
