About the RoleWe have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team at Dargaville Hospital on a permanent part time basisIn this role, you will have the opportunity to provide expert physiotherapy which promotes independence, safety and wellbeing to the patients of Health New Zealand.
The work will be predominantly musculoskeletal, providing cover in the General Ward for Annual and Sick leave.Applications are welcomed from experienced Physiotherapists looking for a new challenge as well as new-graduate Physiotherapists ready to start their careers.

You really can enjoy the best of both.Along with an interesting wide variety of work to keep you engaged, you will work alongside a supportive and tight knit team with the opportunity to gain further knowledge and skills within the team as well as other staff members in the wider service.For more information on living and working in Northland click here About youEssential Skills and ExperienceQualified Physiotherapist with registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ (or eligible for) and a holder of a current practicing certificateSound knowledge of Physiotherapy theory and principles or practise, able to assess client's needs and take appropriate actionProven ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of people and age groups and proven time management/priority setting skills, and problem-solving ability.Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
