Heavy Machinery Operator – Wellington Building Co

Full-time | Wellington | Varied Role with a Solid Pipeline of Work

We’ve got a few medium-scale developments lined up and roughly 5 years of ongoing projects ahead. Our team works closely with architects and takes builds from start to finish – and now we’re looking for the right person to take charge of our heavy machinery.

You’ll be operating our 3.5T CAT digger, 7.5T tipper, and 5.2T loader, with a focus on earthworks for our core development projects. When the gear’s not in use, you’ll help out across the sites – we all muck in when needed.

• Experienced machinery operator (excavator a must)
• Minimum Class 2 licence
• Able to read plans and complete earthworks (training provided if needed)
• A team player who can also work independently and take initiative
• Keen to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in when needed
• Own transport for getting to various job sites
