Permanent, Full Time positionThis is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a patient's cancer journey. About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Faster Cancer Treatment (FCT) Team, supporting Waikato’s efforts to meet the national cancer health target.

Working as part of a committed and collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive timely access to treatment, in line with FCT timeframes. In this role, you will:Support the Regional Cancer Coordinator in identifying, monitoring, and tracking patient pathways.Collaborate with Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) across all tumour streams.Work closely with FCT Multi-Disciplinary Meeting (MDM) Registered Nurses (RNs).Help ensure patients receive timely, coordinated, and effective care.

We work closely with other directorates to accurately report on the cancer targets. About youMedical terminology knowledge Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong ability to work independently, while also being an effective team player Worked within the NZ hospital system and understanding of hospital systems and processes Demonstrate knowledge of data entry, interpreting and managing data Knowledge of cancer waiting times and standardsAn understanding of Microsoft Office tools Tertiary qualification Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
