Leading Hand - Commercial Construction

One of the better structured contractors with a streamlined organisational culture are looking for an additional Leading Hand. They target jobs between $10M - $50M and are often a little more complex and vary considerably across sectors into industrial type projects.
They have all inhouse labour rather than subcontract. They have a constant stream of new work given the power of their relationships ensuring job security. They are also a caring employer with a relative focus on lifestyle balance with some good systems in place for feedback and/or areas of development required.
This role would see you leading a team of carpenters, working with a site manager to coordinate site activities with some work on the tools as well. Such areas you will be involved with include managing sub-contractors, toolbox meetings, site safety, quality control and assisting with ordering materials.
The key background required for this role is a carpentry trade qualification and at least 3 years experience in commercial construction and be looking to develop on commercial projects experience. You are a natural communicator, an ability to step into more supervisory type duties, have top systems awareness, are deadline driven and take pride in the quality of your work.

Remuneration:Salary: $42p/h - $45 p/h + overtime
