- 139,459 depending on experience Mō te tūnga | About the roleOranga Tamariki has a focus on how to support and deliver better outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi, whanau and communities.
Through the provision of high-quality operational leadership, the Service Manager will support the Regional Commissioner of Taranaki/ Manawatu in managing the delivery of high quality commissioned and contracted services including early, intensive intervention and youth justice services, partnered care, and transition services for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.
The role of the Service Manager is to: Build and lead a high performing team to deliver a quality response to support improved outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.- Build, maintain and nurture collaborative partnerships with Māori, Iwi, Hapu and Communities.
- Engage with internal Service Delivery business lines in relation to funding, planning, service design and procurement.
- Support Partners and communities at a regional and local level.
- Ensure a strategic (and equity informed) investment approach is delivered using Oranga Tamariki frameworks.
This will be driven through expertise in relationship management.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringYou will have previous experience leading in a people centric operational environment.
You will be able to demonstrate strong experience leading through high-risk operations as well as a proven ability to build high performance teams.
You will have experience of working in the commissioning, investment and contract management field ideally in the public sector.
Your judgement, decision making and ability to identify risk and problem solve will be tried and tested in complex environments.
Your leadership style is known for its focus on effective prevention of risk- we are striving to build a proactive and aspirational service mindset as we deliver for both rangatahi and kaimahi.
