Factory Supervisor – Day/Night Overlap Role

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for running the day shift, then overseeing the transition into night shift, ensuring:- Production stays on schedule
- Quality standards are maintained
- The night shift is set up for success
- There are no surprises between shifts
This is a floor-based leadership role, not a desk job. You’ll need to balance being hands-on with supervising, without getting stuck running machines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the day shift production team
- Oversee the shift handover into night shift
- Supervise early night shift operations (approx. 2pm–6pm)
- Ensure production follows the daily schedule and work orders
- Complete and oversee production paperwork and quality checks
- Run daily toolbox meetings and set clear expectations
- Monitor machine performance and address issues early
- Maintain standards across safety, quality, and housekeeping
- Provide clear communication between shifts and management
- You are responsible for how the day shift finishes and how night shift starts
- You play a key role in eliminating handover issues and production gaps
- You help create consistency across both shifts
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong leadership presence on the factory floor
- Ability to manage workflow, quality, and team performance
- Confident communicator who can set expectations and follow through
- Practical, organised, and solutions-focused
Supervisory experience preferred, but strong operators ready to step up will be considered.
Hours & Flexibility- Typical hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
- Overlaps both day and night shift (night shift starts approx. 2:00pm)
- Weekend work will be required at times
- Hours may vary depending on production demands
This role is designed to bridge both shifts and maintain continuity.
