Farmchief Machinery Ltd is looking for a Service Technician extraordinaire to join our fun-loving, down-to-earth team at our Waikato branch.
Your primary mission? Keep the wheels turning - literally.
You'll be carrying out diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on a range of customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment. There's also field service work, so no two days will be the same.
Key duties:- Diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of machinery.
- Test machinery and record or communicate issues to either the customer or manager.
- Use of electronic monitors, software, computers to calibrate and operate machinery.
- Replace parts and keep detailed records of all work done.
- Ensure that the correct labour & parts are recorded accurately.
- Keep the work area tidy, including company vehicles, especially to ensure the safety of yourself & all team members.
- Communicate with the manager about timeliness of job
- Ordering of parts to ensure job completed in timely order
- Maintain communication with the customer relative to the work being carried out. Make recommendations for additional work that needs to be completed.
- Work as part of a cohesive team. This includes assisting & sharing knowledge with other staff. Be respectful of all staff and customers.
