Health and Safety Support Role
Braddick Contracting is a busy, family-oriented earthmoving company working in the forestry sector — specialising in road construction and maintenance. With a growing team and three hands-on directors, our work is fast paced, varied, and carried out in high-risk environments where safety and quality really matter.
We’re looking for an organised, proactive person to join our team with a strong focus on health and safety Quality Control. You’ll play an important part in keeping our health and safety systems, records, and compliance up to date, while also working with management and our health and safety consultant to drive ongoing improvements.
This is a part-time role to start, with flexible hours that can work around school commitments for the right candidate, and the potential to increase days as the role and business grow.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and maintain our Health and Safety system (SiteDocs).
- Keep all health and safety documentation, inspections, and audits current and compliant.
- Follow up with staff and subcontractors to close out outstanding actions.
- Collaborate with management and our health and safety consultant on compliance and system improvements.
- Take control of the company fleet servicing and repairs schedule.
- Schedule training, pre-employment testing, and health monitoring for all staff.
- Generate client reports on health and safety performance, inspections, incidents, and compliance.
- Help strengthen our safety culture through consistent communication and practices.
- Is proactive, forward-thinking, and highly organised.
- Can work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
- Is confident using computer systems and able to learn new platforms quickly.
- Has strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Has a passion for Health & Safety and a desire to make a difference.
