Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThe role of a Community Mental Health Nurse for the Adult Community Mental Health Sector is to work within a multi-disciplinary team (clinical and non-clinical roles) in the greater Hamilton community that fosters a culture of mutual respect, safe practice and acknowledges contributions from both cultural and clinical perspectives.
You will engage and work collaboratively with all stakeholders, especially tāngata whaiora and whānau.Key responsibilities of the role:Mental Health and Addictions Service in the Waikato are about to embark on a transformation change to be a Māori led service.You will need to be able to embrace these changes and to support the implementation of a Māori led service within the team and the wider service.Work with your leadership to support and lead a well-functioning mental health and addictions community team.To be committed to understanding the needs of the communities that we work in and building networks within them.To have sound decision making skills especially in high pressure situations.
