Site Operations Supervisor

Our company specialises in residential and commercial deconstruction, demolition, civil construction, site development, civil infrastructure and roading.

We require a permanent, full-time, Site Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. This role involves workforce supervision and management, site inspections, risk management and hands-on work.

The role will be based in the Wellington area.

As a Site Operations Supervisor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 Site Planning: o Interpret plans and engineered drawings, to plan site layout in line with regulations and

codes of practice.
o Estimate project timeframes and ensure tasks are completed within the set schedule.

o Accurately mark out job sites based on engineered drawings and specifications.

o Manage fleet of vehicles, trailers and plant used on sites, including coordinating

maintenance and services, Warrant of Fitness and Rego.

 Workforce Management: o Contact all employees daily to confirm attendance.

o Plan and assign daily work tasks, ensuring adherence to specific time frames and
processes.
o Prepare and manage weekly timesheets for all site employees.

o Address and resolve any discrepancies in timesheets.

o Serve as the primary point of contact for site employees, escalating unresolved issues to

higher management.

 Site Inspections and Safety: o Inspect work and materials to ensure they meet specifications, regulations, and standards.

o Perform detailed analyses and toolbox talks for each site.
o Ensure all machinery is fuelled and inspected for safety.
o Coordinate with contractors for essential services including concrete and scaffolding.
o Conduct on-site meetings with council representatives and clients to discuss work

processes and deadlines.

o Maintain rapid access to the worksite to handle emergencies, particularly on live roads

where public safety may be a concern.

 Hands-On Work: o Participate in on-site construction tasks, including drilling, piling, lagging, anchoring, and

grouting.

o Train and upskill junior team members so they can learn to perform these tasks.

 Other tasks: o Any other related tasks as may reasonably be required from time-to-time.

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in road construction, traffic control and road landscaping.
  • Willing to complete random drug testing.
  • Willing to work on weekends and in all weather conditions.
  • Willing to work in rural areas.
  • Clear police record as this is a position of trust.

Pay rate: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Hours:As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum 30 hours per week but will likely be required to

work between 40 to 50 hours per week.
