About the RoleWe are currently looking for a Phlebotomy or an experienced Medical Sciences Council registered Phlebotomist (QPT/QMLT) to join our team at Counties Manukau District.
Experience in blood collection for all age groups and previous experience in Intravenous Cannulation is desirable.The position will be 4-5 days per week rostered shift work. Flexibility with working hours is required, able to participate in weekend roster and some call-back.

The successful applicant will work across both Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park.If you have an excellent interpersonal and organisation skill and likes working in a hospital environment, then this opportunity could be for you. About the Team/Service/ LocationOur team of 43 Phlebotomists provides Phlebotomy and IV Cannulation Support Service to 44 wards across Middlemore Hospital, 1 Middlemore Collection Room Service and 1 Manukau Health Park Collection Room Service.About youAs a Qualified Phlebotomist:Eligibility to work in New ZealandRegistered QPT/QMLT or able to obtain registration from the Medical Sciences Council of New ZealandKnowledge of and ability to apply the Privacy ActAble to collect blood samples from adults, children and neonatesAble to perform IV Cannulation as an extended scope of practiceWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
