Position: Carpenter

Job duties:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials, dimensions & installation procedures
• Select correct timbers and materials
• Prepare the layout of the project
• Cut timber, materials, assemble and install parts
• Erect frames and trusses
• Install wallboards and floorboards
• Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
• Verify trueness of structure
• Interior lining and finish
• Construct and assemble concrete foundation formwork
• Inspect places and conduct repairs, maintenance, or renovations
• Ensure workmanship and observe health and safety regulations
• Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform

Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 3 hours, permanent full-time

Requirements for the job:

• You should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience; OR if no experience, you should have a relevant qualification at level 4 or above
• Be physically fit
• Full time availability
• May work on weekends
• No criminal record
• Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
