Bricklayer – Christchurch

Pay rate: $33–38 per hour (paid weekly)

What you’ll be doing:

• Laying bricks, blocks, and pavers for residential and commercial structures
• Building walls, fences, facades, retaining walls, and feature finishes
• Reading and interpreting architectural plans and technical drawings
• Measuring materials, cutting bricks, and applying mortar with precision
• Ensuring all brickwork is plumb, level, and completed to a high standard
• Collaborating with site supervisors and other trades to meet deadlines
• Maintaining tools and equipment, and keeping the worksite safe and tidy

What you’ll need:

• Proven bricklaying experience (ideally 3+ years on NZ projects)
• Confidence reading plans and working independently on-site
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes
• Site Safe ticket (or willingness to obtain)
• Your own basic hand tools and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Good attitude, punctuality, and team focus
