Assistant Vineyard Manager - Alexandra
Sourcing fruit from some of the region’s original plantings, Mt Difficulty is a storied wine company with a desire to produce iconic Central Otago wines.
A unique opportunity is available for a passionate and dedicated person to join our vineyard team at Mt Difficulty. Reporting to the Central Otago Vineyard Manager, this hands-on role will be responsible for assisting the viticulture team with monitoring of vineyard performance and health, data collection, establishing and monitoring viticultural trials, along with H&S and compliance reporting.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in viticulture practices throughout a calendar year
- Experience in training and supervising staff
- Qualification in Viticulture (or similar)
- An interest in different methodologies of viticulture (eg Regenerative Farming etc.)
- A high level of competency in Excel and computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to think outside the square and adapt to change
- Great attention to detail & consistent, accurate data collection and entry
