  • Office of the Deputy Chief Executive, Communities, Partnerships & Pathways Location: National OfficeBusiness Group: Communities, Partnerships & PathwaysReports to: Director, Office of the DCE Communities, Partnerships & PathwaysDirect Reports: None Mō te tūnga | About the roleAs Senior Adviser to the Office of the Director, Communities, Partnerships & Pathways (CPP), you will provide high-level strategic advice, planning, and assurance to support the Director and CPP leadership team.

This role is pivotal in supporting the effective delivery of community services and alignment with enterprise-wide planning processes.

You will:Provide strategic advice on management, operational, and departmental issues.Lead and develop CPP group performance analysis, and effective risk management and assurance across the group.Develop communication materials and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Support engagement with Executive, CPP leadership and other internal governance forums, including through provision of advice and briefings.Prepare Ministerial, PQ, and OIA responses and coordinate key deliverables.Review and quality assure group output including briefing and decision documents.Undertake projects, investigations, and reviews to inform decision-making.Ensure programmes and initiatives align with Hōkai Rangi outcomes and organisational strategic goals.Support CPP leadership during critical incidents and national responses.

This role requires a proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.

Mōu | About youWe're looking for someone with:Proven experience at a senior advisory level.Experience in performance monitoring and analysis, risk management, and compliance.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Understanding of Māori cultural settings and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.Awareness of justice sector trends and emergency management frameworks.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.Ability to deliver and support others to deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.In-depth knowledge of community-based offender services would be an advantage.
