Ohinewai Harvest is a family-owned business operating in the Horticulture sector. We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable horticulture nursery worker to assist with plant production.
Hours of work will be 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday with minimum 30 hours work per week and a maximum of 50 hours per week. Some weekend work will be required.
Rates of Pay will range from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
Requirements- Level 4- Trade Certificate or Diploma is required.
- OR at least three years of relevant experience is required.
- 3 year experience will be preferred.
- Production – seeding, sowing, cutting propagation, hand potting and bagging
- Plant Care – General plant health monitoring, sanitization, clear work sites
- Working with team members to ensure productivity, safe work environment and exceptional team culture
- Record keeping of work performed and reporting improvements/work to be carried out
- Physical - Performing physical activities for most of the working day that will involve standing, crouching, and reaching. Heavy lifting will be required at times.
- Must be able to work fast, pruning, cutting, potting
- Teamwork – ability to work with multiple people to achieve production objectives
- Work ethic – focus on meeting/exceeding targets and set quality standards.
- Have existing knowledge of core Horticulture practices.
