With over 20 years of industry experience and a record of continued growth and success, we are now seeking an energetic and diligent individual to join our team in a permanent, full-time position as an Industrial Spray Painter.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision. You should be flexible, adaptable to change, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities successfully in this dynamic and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:- Grinding, sanding, and cleaning metal surfaces to remove rust, dirt, and old finishes in preparation for coating.
- Loading powder coating materials, paint, oil, lacquer, varnish, or rustproofing agents into spray equipment.
- Connecting hoses and adjusting spray nozzles and equipment settings to achieve correct spray pressure and pattern.
- Securing items in spray booths or positioning them on racks and conveyor systems before coating.
- Operating electrostatic spray guns to apply powder coatings evenly, ensuring complete and consistent coverage.
- Moving coated items to drying or curing areas, stacking them for further painting, packaging, or inspection.
- Starting and monitoring ventilation systems, extractor fans, heaters, and curing ovens to control correct temperature and ensure proper drying and curing conditions.
- Cleaning spray nozzles, containers, hoppers, and hoses regularly to maintain equipment in optimal working condition, and recording maintenance activities in a timely manner.
- Occasionally operating dipping tanks or paint baths for specific coating processes.
- Mixing or adjusting coating materials (e.g., powder or liquid paint) and regulating temperature or viscosity as required.
- Conducting regular stock takes of coating materials and reporting inventory levels to supervisors to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Wearing appropriate safety gear at all times and strictly following health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Accurately completing daily job records or work logs to document tasks performed, materials used, and job progress.
