Gilmours Hamilton Warehouse (Pick Pack) Manager

You will be leading our team of Pick-packers and Truck Loaders and working collaboratively with our Transport team, Customer service, Sales team and the wider business, to ensure that we provide the best possible service to our customers.
About the role
The Warehouse Service Manager is part of our leadership team and is a key role to ensure our customers receive their orders in full and on time. You will lead a team of awesome pick packers and truck loaders that have the customer at the forefront of everything they do.
Effectively manage your shift supervisors and all direct reports. 20+ Reports- Analyse and drive team performance through data sharing and team engagement
- Circulate around the shop floor and service area on a regular basis to ensure maintenance of stores overall appearance.
- Monitor Department staff to ensure service and productivity levels are maintained.
- Take direction from Owner Operator or Store Manager re workflow.
- Communicate back to Department Managers and Senior Managers with any issues.
- Ensure start of day procedures are completed as per individual department requirements
- Rostering, daily time sheet approval and organising leave of the Service team
- Training, coaching and Performance management of the Service team
- Compliance with our FCP to meet regulations for temperature control and integrity of the product
- Ensuring our Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures are prioritised, maintaining a safe work environment every day
- Deal with Customer / Staff complaints / issues / enquiries as required.
- Ensuring all orders are picked and ready, and trucks are correctly loaded.
Days & Hours
This role is 45 hours per week
Sunday to Thursday - 4.30pm to 2.00am
Predominantly NIGHTS
Skills and Experience- Previous people management a must
- Duty Manager license
- Forklift license required
- Ability to work autonomously in quick paced environment
- Reliable, physically fit as heavy lifting is involved (25kg+)
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude
- Full training and support will be provided
- Excellent technology skills with SAP knowledge advantageous
- Training and support to build capability in SAP, one of the largest global tools used to manage business operations, and to build experience in warehouse operations and supply chain
