Laboratory Technician Assistant**

**Start Date: Immidiate start**

**Short term contract 6 - 8 weeks**

**About our client**:

Our client is the New Zealand's largest construction company and only national concrete company. It produces ready mix concrete under its Certified brand, a large range of concrete masonry, paving, segmental retaining walls and veneers. **Your new role**:

• Sample and test raw materials and products in accordance with NZ and client requirements.
• Ensure the manufacture and delivery of top-notch products and systems that meet customer specifications.
• Maintain high standards, enthusiasm, and drive in a diverse team environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, discipline, and the ability to make tough decisions when required.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to comprehend technical and mechanical issues.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you:

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Computer literacy - must have experience and understanding of standard systems
• Accuracy and attention to detail to be able to provide understanding of testing
• Desire to learn and develop a career in the construction industry.
• Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, with occasional variations in hours.

• Industry knowledge or sound understanding of concrete mix design, materials, and technology (advantageous).
• Full training provided - no prior lab technician qualification required.
