Digger / Excavator Operator - Christchurch

You will operate excavators and related machinery to complete a range of civil and landscaping works, including site preparation, trenching, digging, and loading. You will work closely with our team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate diggers/excavators safely and efficiently under the direction of the Site Manager/Supervisor

Perform daily pre- and post-work checks, refuelling, and cleaning of equipment

Work from plans, markers, verbal instructions, and hand signals

Load and unload materials

Maintain awareness of site safety and surroundings

Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and report incidents promptly

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience operating diggers/excavators in landscaping work

Ability to read site plans and follow instructions accurately

Attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Good communication and teamwork skills

A strong work ethic and reliability

Current NZ driver’s licence (preferred)
