Parks Operator
Permanent, part-time (32 hours per week) with potential to become full-time mid-year

You will see our passionate team out and about tending flower beds, planting trees, mowing lawns, raking leaves, trimming bushes, maintaining our cemeteries and much more!

About The Role
We have an exciting Parks Operator opportunity at Waipa District Council, focused on gardening skills, for the right candidate to start as soon as possible.
While each position may have its specialisation, our work programme changes depending on the season so we're a flexible team that all muck in to help each other out. Workdays are Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.00pm. We are flexible about which four of those days the successful candidate prefers to be employed.
About You
The hard work and dedication of our Parks & Reserves team ensures that residents and visitors enjoy the beauty of the Waipa District all year round. We are looking for people who share in that vision and can add to the great team dynamic we enjoy daily.Along with that, a good level of physical fitness and a strong focus on safety and customers will be needed due to the nature of the role.
Previous experience in a similar landscaping or garden maintenance role is ideal, although training and support is available to help you sharpen your skillset!
