Ready to level up your dairy career? At Quest Dairy, we’re offering more than a job — it’s a chance to grow your skills, take on real responsibility, and join a supportive, future-focused team.

As our new Dairy Assistant Production Manager, you’ll work alongside a Manager and 2IC who back your development, with training, mentorship, and the opportunity to make an impact every day.

You'll be hands-on across a wide range of operations, including:

  • Monitoring animal health and helping to rear the next generation of stock
  • Managing effluent systems and ensuring environmental compliance
  • Coaching junior team members and helping run day-to-day farm activities
  • Filling in for the Production Manager when required

**The Farm**

Quest Dairy is a 430-hectare property milking around 1000 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed. The farm is located in the heart of the Central Plateau — a region known for its stunning landscapes, strong rural communities, and unbeatable access to outdoor adventure.

With a modern setup and a commitment to high standards of animal care and production, Quest Dairy offers a great environment to grow your farming career in a supportive and forward-thinking team.

**Benefits**

At Pamu we offer a competitive salary package with additional benefits, including health and life insurance, up to 4% KiwiSaver matching, an extra day of leave over Christmas, and enhanced parental leave benefits, as well as ongoing training and development.

A two-bedroom home is available; the farm is close to the school bus stop and the location allows easy access to a wide range of recreational activities.

**About You**

You’re someone who takes pride in doing things well — whether it's getting the best out of your pasture, keeping cows healthy, or stepping up to support your team.

You’ll bring:
  • Solid dairy farming experience (bonus points for ITO Level 2)
  • Skills in pasture management, feed planning, and general farm operations
  • Confidence on side/sides and farm equipment
  • A proactive attitude towards health, safety, and teamwork
