As our new Dairy Assistant Production Manager, you’ll work alongside a Manager and 2IC who back your development, with training, mentorship, and the opportunity to make an impact every day.
You'll be hands-on across a wide range of operations, including:- Supporting feed planning and pasture management to hit production targets
- Leading milking operations and maintaining high hygiene and milk quality standards
- Monitoring animal health and helping to rear the next generation of stock
- Managing effluent systems and ensuring environmental compliance
- Coaching junior team members and helping run day-to-day farm activities
- Filling in for the Production Manager when required
**The Farm**
Quest Dairy is a 430-hectare property milking around 1000 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed. The farm is located in the heart of the Central Plateau — a region known for its stunning landscapes, strong rural communities, and unbeatable access to outdoor adventure.

**About You**
You’re someone who takes pride in doing things well — whether it's getting the best out of your pasture, keeping cows healthy, or stepping up to support your team.
You’ll bring:- Solid dairy farming experience (bonus points for ITO Level 2)
- Skills in pasture management, feed planning, and general farm operations
- Confidence on side/sides and farm equipment
- A proactive attitude towards health, safety, and teamwork
- Great communication skills and the ability to get stuck in unsupervised
- A restricted or full driver’s licence
