Thai Massage Therapist

Mon Thai Massage has been operating in Blenheim for over ten years and is now looking for an experienced Thai massage therapist to join our professional team.

• Massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing.
• Utilising a range of massage techniques to promote relaxation, improve circulation, enhance wellbeing and relieve muscle tension.
• Applying traditional Thai massage techniques using hands, thumbs, forearms and feet to reduce tension in muscles.
• Aromatherapy oil and coconut oil massages using palm techniques and flowing strokes.
• Reflexology incorporating wood stick to release tension in the feet and legs
• Pregnancy massage
• Head massage
• Warm herbal compress massage

Remuneration and hours of work:

The successful applicant will be paid $30 per hours for 30 hours per week. Hours will be rostered between 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday with 6 continuous hours rostered each day. Massages are booked for between 30 or 120 minutes and we allow a minimum recovery break of 15 minutes between massages.

• Experienced in Thai massage techniques including pressing, leaning, rolling, rocking, squeezing and circling and able to demonstrate these techniques during interview
• Experience with pregnancy massage
• Experience with reflexology wood stick massage techniques
• Honest, reliable, professional and hardworking
• Able to work independently

• A New Zealand Qualifications Framework Diploma in Massage or an overseas qualification determined to be of an equivalent standard by the New Zealand qualifications Authority OR
• At least three years of relevant work experience in massage with at least one year experience using Thai massage techniques.
