Assistant Gardener – for work in Howick
$27 per hour
Monday , Tuesday and/or Wednesday - 2 days per week (flexible with days)School Hours 9.15am -2.15pm
Could suit a semi retired person or a mum looking for school hours work.
Poppy Moss Garden Care are looking for additional Gardeners to join our team.
We are ideally looking for someone who has experience working in a Garden and we are also keen to chat with those who are generally interested in Gardening, who are keen to learn, those who have a good level of fitness and who are physically capable of doing the tasks required.
Full training given.
About Us – Poppy Moss Garden Care are a small Gardening business located in Howick, we are a well-established company with a great team culture, we are a fun bunch of ladies who enjoy working outdoors at beautiful properties.
Responsibilities – you will be involved in Gardening work at residential properties in Howick and surrounding areas, doing general Gardening tasks, removing weeds, leaf collection, blowing, pruning, occasionally some small size hedge and shrub trimming.(we very rarely do trimming with a ladder, we don't take on this sort of work)
Requirements – ideally you will have experience working in a Garden, although if not then we are happy to train you, need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team. Have a high level of initiative and an eye for detail with a focus on quality, efficiency.You will need to display a good work ethic, be self-motivated with a good positive attitude and most importantly be reliable.
Have the ability to follow instructions and complete work to a high standard.
Be physically fit and capable of working outdoors using Stihl battery operated power tools, blower and Hedge trimmer.
We are looking for someone who is keen to work, learn more, be valued and enjoy the flexibility of working School hours within a fun team.
