You'll be working onsite, managing all aspects of the project from start to finish, with a focus on delivering excellence in every stage of the build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a major commercial project, including construction and project team coordination.

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and procurement strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations, local building codes, and industry standards.
  • Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Lead proactive risk management, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Supervise and manage on-site teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in managing high-rise or hotel construction projects is essential.
  • Strong background in delivering large-scale commercial builds with a clear understanding of construction processes, NZ building regulations, and contract management.
  • Outstanding leadership abilities, with a track record of managing project teams and engaging effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project requirements.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certifications would be advantageous.
  • A hands-on, solution-oriented approach with a focus on driving projects to successful completion.

Why You Should Apply:

  • This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key part of a major commercial development shaping Christchurch's landscape.
  • You'll have the chance to work with an established, high-performing team on a high-profile project.
  • Competitive salary based on experience, with career progression opportunities.
  • Full-time role with a fixed term until 31 December 2027.
