About the Role:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Retail Store Assistant to join our team in Whakatane.As a Retail Store Assistant, you’ll be the face of Stirling Sports Whakatane, helping customers find the right gear, sharing product knowledge, and keeping the store looking sharp. You’ll work as part of a supportive team where energy, teamwork, and a positive attitude are key.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging customer service
- Assist customers with product selection and fitting
- Maintain store presentation, visual merchandising, and stock standards
- Process sales accurately through the POS system
- Receive, unpack, and organise stock
- Support the team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
- Passion for sport, fitness, or streetwear brands
- Confident communicator with a customer first mindset
- Reliable, motivated, and a strong team player
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Retail experience is an advantage, but not essential
