About the RoleAs an ACNM, you will provide specialised nursing knowledge and support to contribute to improving patient outcomes and quality of life. We currently have an opportunity for a fixed term ACNM position (covering maternity leave) in Ward 14 (M14) and the Enhanced Recovery Unit (ERU), the surgical ward and high acuity area for our Critical Care, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular (C4TVS) Service.

About the ServiceWe provide care for patients throughout Te Manawa Taki Region, requiring cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. This is the largest surgical ward in the hospital with 34 beds. This is a great opportunity to work in a progressive and dynamic environment, which values and supports its team members and their contributions.

About youAs an ACNM you will be expected to support the CNM and provide clinical leadership and support for staff Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role:Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o WaitangiCurrent Annual Practicing CertificateA minimum of 3 years surgical nursing experience in Cardiothoracic & Vascular surgery.Expert level PDRP (or working towards)Experience with change management, clinical audits and quality initiativesExcellent time management and communication skills fostering positive working relationships with wider teams.People management experience performance management, conflict resolution and team building.
