This is a full-time position within the Investigations Team.The principal role of the Investigator is to assist the Commissioner to determine whether there has been a breach of the Code. The Investigator will identify whether there are areas for service improvement and, if so, suggest appropriate recommendations for change.Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū te haere | What you'll need to be successful:Ability to manage multiple investigations effectively, support colleagues, and actively enhance team performanceAn investigations background with a history of outstanding performanceAbility to work effectively under minimal supervisionAbility to identify and prioritise complex issues and deal with evidential difficulties/ challengesOutstanding written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate with people from a wide cross-section of the communityAbility to convey complex information accurately in clear and simple languageProven ability to manage a heavy caseload, producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines consistentlyInitiative and professionalismA relevant tertiary qualification (health, law, or disability an advantage)An awareness of the systemic barriers experienced by disabled people in the health and disability systemSensitivity to the values of other cultural and ethnic groupsAn understanding of, or experience in, the health and disability sector or the ability to obtain such an understandingAwhe utu - Salary rangeAs part of our remuneration framework the base salary range for the position is from $61,600 to $77,000.
