An opportunity has arisen for a talented sales, category management and commercial individual. This role looks after a key category of this product with the overall focus on managing the commercial planning and implementation. It requires development of long-term relationships as well as investigating new opportunities.
Your skill lies in developing sales programmes and account management within the fresh food sector i.e. fruit, meat, or another fresh, perishable product. You will have sharp commercial skills and understand how to optimise returns and costs.You have strong understanding of supply chain and how trade and category management works alongside seasonal volumes.
Key deliverables for this role will include:
- Customer management and programme delivery – driving an optimal mix between category management and trading
- Manage daily sales to achieve season planning
- Develop volume allocation plans based on forecast returns
- Work with finance and site teams to enhance reporting and capture costing
- Look for new opportunities to create value
- Look for improvement and enhancement for multiple programmes and initiatives
- Demonstrate awareness and responsibility for H&S
- Part of a team of 20 – mixed roles.
