Night Shift Supervisor Wanted

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, night shifts only (rostered across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays)

About the Role

Caltex Hillcrest is seeking a responsible and experienced Night Shift Supervisor to oversee operations during night hours. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth running of the site, maintaining service standards, and ensuring customer safety and compliance with fuel station regulations.

• Supervise all station operations during night shifts, including fuel dispensing, shop sales, and customer service.
• Manage and reconcile cash/eftpos transactions, prepare shift reports, and balance tills.
• Ensure the safe handling, storage, and monitoring of fuel products, following all hazardous substances and HSWA (Health and Safety at Work Act) regulations.
• Monitor forecourt safety, respond to emergencies, and maintain security procedures (including CCTV checks and alarm response).
• Oversee stock levels, complete restocking and merchandising, and record wastage.
• Train and supervise night shift staff, ensuring performance and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of forecourt, convenience store, and staff areas.
• Provide high-quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.

• At least 6 months of work experience in retail, fuel station, or convenience store management (night shift experience preferred).
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, able to work independently during night hours.
• Excellent knowledge of cash handling, POS systems, and inventory control.
• Understanding of fuel station compliance, including hazardous substances, fire safety, and site security procedures.
• Ability to follow strict health & safety, compliance, and emergency response protocols.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working solely on night shifts.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

• Hourly pay rate between $24–$27, based on experience and performance.
• Guaranteed night shift hours (minimum 30 hours per week).
