A bit about the role…We're looking for an enthusiastic Garden Team Member to join our Porirua team in a full-time, permanent role, working Tuesday to Saturday.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be working in our garden department, helping customers choose the right plants, products and solutions for their gardens, while also keeping the department looking great and running smoothly.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be:- Providing friendly, knowledgeable in-store and after-sales service
- Assisting customers with plant selection, fertilisers, tools and garden hardware
- Maintaining stock levels, merchandising and product presentation
- Building your product knowledge to help create an even better customer experience
- Working safely and supporting a positive team environment
- A genuine passion for gardening and strong knowledge of plants and garden products
- A customer-first attitude with great communication skills
- An enthusiastic, reliable "can-do" approach
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to be flexible in a busy environment
- The physical ability to handle manual tasks (including lifting, standing for long periods and ladder use)
- A good awareness of Health & Safety
Retail experience is helpful, but your attitude, energy and garden knowledge are what matter most.
