Housekeeping Team Leader - skills and experience: Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping (minimum 2 years preferred)
University degree in Hotel Management preferred (can be replaced by adequate experience)Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team
Basic understanding of administrative duties related to housekeeping operations
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

About the Role - Mo tenei turangi mahi
The primary purpose of these positions is to offer guests an exceptional first-class experience. Including but not limited to:
- Mentor and coach your team to understand, meet and exceed expected performance standards as set by yourself and Lodge Management
- Create a Customer Service team culture, addressing any areas of concern effectively and liaising with individual team members for performance. Conduct Weekly/Shift Start meetings to ensure common objectives and outcomes are communicated
- Develop a training programme in liaison with the Lodge Management, to ensure your team’s success and being responsible for the delivery of this to all new housekeeping staff at the commencement of their employment. Acceptable cleaning standards are to be set as part of this training programme and staff developed to work independently when you are not around
- Manage the team roster to ensure adequate staffing levels for housekeeping duties alongside other daily tasks as per the calendar
- Ensure all rooms are serviced and cleaned to an exceptionally high standard, conducting room inspections with the Lodge Manager, and where necessary addressing any issues immediately
- Through progressive leadership, be responsible for improving our Qualmark score through effective Housekeeping processes and procedures, and ensuring our SOP’s are adhered to across the team
