We have exciting opportunities in Whanganui/Manawatu region for Electricians. Internally the role is known as a Metering Technician – Electrician.

We are currently recruiting electricians for metering work in Whanganui and Manawatu region to carry out ongoing metering maintenance to existing assets and deployment of smart meters. This role will also be provided training to enable them to liven new connections to the network when installing the meter.

We are looking for people with the following skills and qualifications:- New Zealand EWRB Registered as an Electrician with a Full or Limited Licence
- Consideration will be given to overseas qualified electricians who are not currently registered with New Zealand EWRB
- At least 1year relevant work experience
- A positive and flexible team player
- A current full NZ driver's license
- A passion for safety
- Be a New Zealand Resident or already have a valid NZ work visa
- Preferably hold or previously held network approvals
You'll typically work a 40-hour week, Pay rates will be negotiated dependent on your qualifications, skills and experience within a range of $30.00 to $37.00 per hour.
