The Role: We are looking for a qualified, registered teacher to join our preschool team at Bear Park Henderson.

Located in a modern, user-friendly building – with five dedicated classrooms catering for all ages and stages of our tamariki – Bear Park Henderson offers the community the chance to be part of something special. We believe all children are unique individuals and our role as educators is to support and provide them with the tools for their learning journey throughout life.

Our beautiful centre environment, and incredible resources support this and we work hard to ensure each and every child is nurtured and supported through their learning journey.

With ratios of 1:7, we provide a supportive, tailored environment for children and teachers alike. We provide 3 hours dedicated programme planning per week for each of our teaching teams and are widely known as a place where teachers and students can embrace individual learning opportunities, show their creativity and be guaranteed regular support from both our Centre Directors and greatly experienced pedagogical team.

We aim to encourage within our children a sense of respect for ourselves, others, and our environment. We believe strongly in the role the environment plays as the third teacher and so incorporate it actively into our resources and learning experiences in line with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

Working alongside a passionate teaching team, a Centre Director, and a Pedagogical Mentor, you will have ample opportunity to extend your own professional knowledge and practice within a strongly Reggio inspired setting.
