Joinery Project Manager / Sales Consultant
Montage Group works on a wide range of projects, from affordable to high-end kitchens, commercial fit-outs, wardrobes, laundries, reception desks, and other custom cabinetry.
We are seeking a practical down-to-earth, dynamic person to join our team.We are looking for someone to work closely with our design / production team, helping them to resolve complex challenges for unique projects.
This role of joinery project manager / sales consultant involves meeting with clients for kitchen/joinery consultations, conducting site measures, liaising with builders, subtrades and our production team to ensure the project runs smoothly.The details of the role may vary depending on the right candidate.
Key Requirements- A good understanding of cabinetry design/installation. Preference would be a qualified Cabinetmaker/Joiner.
- A good understanding of joinery products/materials available in New Zealand.
- A good understanding of construction methods and work site health and safety
- Solid computer skills – email, calendar, spreadsheets, order forms, Monday.com
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Full driver license
Other tasks would include Project Management of commercial fit outs or complex kitchens. Including site measures, liaising with builders/project managers and the Montage production team.
CAD experience is not essential for this role, but would be an added bonus. The primary focus will be supporting our in-house designers with practical advice on complex projects, sales consultations with clients, and project management (communicating with builders, architects and sub trades to ensure the project goes to plan)
The Role may also include- Working out how to create complex cabinetry, creating expanded detail drawings to explain requirements to designers.
- Working out labour time / costs associated with aspects of custom cabinetry & joinery
- Meeting with clients at our showroom or in their homes/businesses
- Helping clients define project briefs, budgets, and design choices
- Researching technical details of products and expanding your knowledge
- Preparing accurate quotes and spec sheets
- OPTIONAL: Drawing kitchens and cabinetry using Microvellum (AutoCAD software)
The main place of work is based in our office at 121 Ellis St, Frankton. This role will require travel throughout the Waikato, Auckland & Bay of Plenty from time to time.
