Tokoroa - Qualified & Experienced Automotive Electrician
We’re looking for a qualified & talented auto electrician to join our team. We are a well-established business operating from our workshop at Kinleith in the Central North Island. Our core business is commercial auto electrical in the forestry, industrial, agricultural and transport industries.
What will you be doing? Diagnostics and repairs, new fit outs, fleet management maintenance, air conditioning, ABS/EBS, emission systems... any anything else that’s auto electrical. You’ll need to be able to work independently as well as collaboratively; and have a can-do will-do mindset.

What we have to offer:- Hourly remuneration that includes time and a quarter over eight hours in a business day and time and a half on weekends; as well as tool, travel and on-call allowances. Pay rates negotiable based experience and qualifications. Potential company vehicle for the right employee.
- This role will see you working either out of the workshop, around town, or all around the South Waikato and beyond – farm, forestry, transport and industrial sites.
- Variety, you’ll work on anything that needs automotive electrical work – trucks, haulers, golf carts, rock crushers, loaders, cars, cranes…
- Ongoing training and development.
- If you don’t already hold a Class 5 licence, we’ll help you on your way.
- Currently reside and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
- Hold as a minimum Trade Certificate, National Certificate, or Level Four in Automotive Electrical Engineering on the national framework.
- Have minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Have excellent knowledge of automotive electronics, electrical theory, and circuit diagrams and mechanical understanding.
- Have a thorough understanding of health, safety, and HSNO requirements of automotive electrical industry.
- Have good computer skills and the ability to understand and use computerised systems.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Have an adequate tool kit to perform duties required.
- Hold a current Class 1 driver’s license. An ideal candidate will hold current Class 4 licence or above.
