General Handyman
Rotorua
Onuku Maori Lands Trust is seeking a practical, reliable, and hardworking General Handyman to support the maintenance of our housing, farm infrastructure, and environmental projects. This is a full-time position with the unique benefit of accommodation provided on-site.
You will work closely with our farm operations supervisor and contractors to ensure all properties and facilities are kept to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, etc.)
- Ensure trust-owned housing meets Healthy Homes standards
- Maintain gutters, fencing, driveways, and signage
- Oversee general upkeep of woolsheds and farm buildings
- Liaise with specialist contractors when required
- Report hazards and follow Health & Safety practices
- Assist with environmental projects and farm support during peak periods
- Hands-on skills in building and property maintenance
- Previous experience as a handyman or in asset/property upkeep
- Physically fit and able to carry out outdoor and practical work
- Honest, reliable, and self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude
- Knowledge of safe work practices and PPE use
- Current full NZ driver’s licence
- Competitive salary of $50,000
