In this role, you won't just be watching the crops grow—you'll be the driving force behind our harvest, ensuring every hectare meets our standards for quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and train farm workers in seeding, weeding, harvesting, and crop maintenance.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor crop growth and soil conditions to determine optimal times for planting, fertilizing, and harvesting.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all chemical applications (fertilizers, pesticides) are performed safely and accurately according to regulations.
- Quality Control: Inspect crops for diseases or pests and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Resource Management: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and irrigation systems.
- Safety First: Enforce strict Health & Safety protocols across the field to ensure a zero-harm environment.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in field crop farming (e.g., grains, oilseeds, or broadacre crops).
- Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory or "leading hand" role is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of modern cropping techniques, irrigation, and machinery operation.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license is required. Relevant agricultural certificates (e.g., chemical handling/Growsafe) are a major plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Communication: Fluent English is essential for coordinating with management and ensuring safety compliance.
