Building Associate

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Building Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate day-to-day on-site construction operations

Interpret building plans, specifications, and compliance codes

Support site supervisors and project managers with scheduling and planning

Manage materials, tools, and subcontractors on-site

Monitor health and safety, and enforce site compliance

Conduct quality checks and ensure standards are met

Assist with cost estimation and reporting

Requirements:

At least 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying/Engineering Technology

Sound knowledge of New Zealand building codes and regulations

Strong ability to read plans and organise on-site operations

Excellent communication, time management, and team coordination skills
