We at Elite Mechanical & Engineering are looking for an experienced people to join our busy team. We pride ourselves in turning out exceptional, innovative work to a wide variety of customers.

Leading supplier in structural steel fabrication and installation, seismic strengthening general and custom engineering and fabrication. Due to ongoing business growth and development, we are looking for versatile Structural Fabricators/Welders , to join the team.

Located locally here in Wanganui you will be working within a busy workshop environment plus site work.

The company provides custom and general fabrication with all metal types, machining, welding, and mechanical services. Servicing the Wanganui Region you will be an integral team member joining the established team. The company is currently experiencing massive demand due to the quality and delivery of their services.

Your role will include and will not be limited to;
Site measuring and confirmation of drawings and details
Site installs
QA

All fabrication and welding as required.

Ensuring the workshop and workspaces are kept tidy

To be considered for this role, you will need:

To be well-spoken and well-presented in yourself and your workmanship
A solid background in engineering
Be able to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans in conjunction with shop drawings

Enjoy taking responsibility and seeing a task or job through from pricing phase to installation and sign off.

Fully trade qualified or highly experienced, and able to weld to high standards
You will need to be willing and able to travel.
You will need a current driver’s license, and be a resident able to work in NZ.
A solid company that offers encouragement for upskilling of their employees.
Being able to think on your feet and problem-solve is an important part of these roles.
Be health & safety conscious.
Full time and ongoing work (overtime rate of 1.5 after 45 hours)
