Cleaning Supervisor – Queenstown
We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our growing team in Queenstown. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, leading by example, and ensuring both staff and customers are well looked after.
The ideal candidate will be a strong and reliable supervisor with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage staff performance, customer expectations, and daily operations efficiently.

Pay Rate
NZD $30 – $35 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple sites and ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard. You will support and lead the cleaning team, handle customer concerns professionally, maintain quality control, and help create a positive working environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, physically fit, and capable of managing both people and operational tasks effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support cleaning staff on daily operations
Lead by example and maintain high cleaning standards
Manage staff performance, attendance, and productivity
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally
Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule
Train new staff and provide ongoing guidance
Conduct quality inspections and reporting
Organize daily tasks and staff allocations
Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
Cleaning Duties IncludeBed making
Vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping
Dusting and wiping surfaces
Cleaning toilets, bathrooms, and showers
Spray and wipe cleaning
Removing rubbish
Polishing furniture
Laundry duties
Operating basic electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment
RequirementsPrevious professional cleaning experience required
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication and team management skills
Ability to work independently and lead a team
Excellent attention to detail
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to carry out moderate to heavy physical work
Reliable, well presented, and punctual
Able to follow instructions and company procedures
Full clean driver’s licence preferred
Must pass Ministry of Justice and relevant security checks
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
