About the Role
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team. You’ll be working on a variety of heavy transport vehicles, trailers, and machinery.This is a full-time, permanent role (minimum 40 hours per week), with overtime and weekend work available.
Key Responsibilities- Servicing and repairing trucks, trailers, and machinery
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
- On-site call outs as needed
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic
- At least 5 years of experience with heavy vehicles or equipment
- A solid work ethic and high-quality standards
- Able to work well independently and in a team
- Full, clean driver’s licence (Class 2+ preferred)
- Must pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening)
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ – no visa sponsorship available

Completion or near completion of a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship through Mito or equivalent
